This was taken through the very scratched window of the alarmingly old and battered 747 Egypt Air used to fly us home. It's actually a view of the Nile, although the photo doesn't show the slivery streak running down the centre of the dark area of crops. There's desert on both sides, and crops planted along the river banks. The odd thing is the very clean line where the irrigation stops.
