This is the view of San Francisco as the plane took off. Normally I wouldn't bother taking such shots as they're guaranteed to be a blurry mess like this one, but in this case I had an excuse. Tina and I both asked for window seats because the view of Las Vegas at night from a plane is quite astonishing. So Tina was sat behind me, and seated beside me was a woman who was tearfully telling me about how she recently found her husband dead in bed. Pretending to concentrate on taking photographs out of the plane window at least shut her up for a while.
