When the exhuast is under water the driver has to sit there revving hard to keep blowing the water out. That way the engine won't waterlog. It does create a bit of a steam issue though. And that recovery strap was nowhere near up to the job. A water filled Discovery must weigh the best part of 3 tonnes - the buckle snapped almost instantly the Defender pulled on it.
