The burial mask of King Tutankhamen seen in the museum in Cario. The mask is the most popular exhibit and getting in front of it to get a photo is an achievement in itself. I was delighted with this shot.

Tutankhamen wasn't a great ruler; he died at 19 after only 5 years on the throne, and achieved very little. He's famous because he's the only king who's tomb was not found by grave robbers, and hence contained all the treasure buried with him. Makes you wonder what the tombs of the really great rulers where like when sealed up.

All images on this website have been shot using either a Canon S40 compact digital camera, or a Canon 20D DLSR. I'm something of a Canon fan. :) Most images have been post processed with Adobe Photoshop and the CurveMeister plugin. I thoroughly recommend CurveMeister, BTW. It's a great piece of software.
